Tesoro High School
Mr. Bill Mocnik

Our Tesoro School Community is indebted to our PTSA for their incredible support of all of our teachers, staff, and students. Without the collective efforts of the families that support PTSA through their membership, we would not have the outstanding and award winning programs that make Tesoro known not only across the county, but across the country.

The financial support of PTSA runs the gamut of supporting our staff and programs through teacher grants, hosting breakfasts and awards luncheons for our students and staff, and providing our school with a tremendous academic resource in turnitin.com. However, as invaluable as the financial support is to Tesoro, it is the efforts of our PTSA volunteers that give their time to our school community that truly makes our school special. Our students see parents modeling service leadership on a daily basis as they assist us everything from running our Student Store, manning the copy room, assisting in our library, to making our Registration process smooth and seamless—to name just a few of the wonderful things that our PTSA contributes to Tesoro.

Tesoro is unique in that we excel and are known for our outstanding programs in academics, the arts, and athletics. I challenge anyone to find a school in Orange County as accomplished as Tesoro. Our students are consistently accepted to some of the most prestigious colleges and universities in the country; our athletic teams won 7 league championships this past year with numerous student athletes recognized as the best in their sports; and our choir, band, and orchestra won a Grammy this past year—being recognized as one of the top 5 schools in the United States from the over 20,000 considered. We will continue to aspire to these lofty traditions.

The Tesoro PTSA offers many opportunities for parents to become involved in our school and also keeps our school community well-informed. I invite you to attend our monthly PTSA meetings in our library in order to meet other members of our school community and to learn more about Tesoro. I look forward to meeting and working with you this year.
